EQUIPMENT
A Phone line with ADSL enabled on it MUST be filtered to use any other
device other than ADSL on that line (eg: phone, fax, Eftpos etc).
Central Filter:
These filters are hardwired into your phone line before the first outlet in
your home or business. It is recommended that you use a Central Filter if
you have 4 or more devices on the same phone line plugged into 4 different
outlets. (eg: ADSL. 2 phones & Fax) or a PABX System, Back to Base Alarm
System. These filters need to be installed by a Telstra Authorized Installer.
Standard Filter / Microfilter:
These filters are plugged direct into you phone outlets. The ADSL, Phone&fax etc are plugged into them. It is recommended that these types of filters
are used if you have less than 4 outlets in use.
