Dial Up Settings



1/ Change the Dial-Up phone number.


Click Start > Settings > Control Panel & double click the Internet or Internet Options Icon. (Windows 95a users only: click Start > Programs > Accessories > Dial Up Networking.) On the resultant pop-up, click the "settings" button, then the "properties" button. Delete the current "Telephone Number" and enter 0198333129.  Proceed to step 2.

OPTUS Customers
Optus customers must prefix the dial in number with 1411 to get local call access to the OzISP dial in number. Telstra will provide a seperate phone bill for the phone calls to OzISP. e.g. ring 141153004129.

2/ Remove the DNS settings.

Click the "Server Types" tab, (Windows ME Users should note that this tab is called "Networking") then click the "TCP/IP" settings button. Click on the line "Server Assigned Name Server Addresses". This should grey out the 4 boxes immediately below containing the Primary & Secondary DNS addresses. Click "OK" and click "OK" again.

3/ Remove the Proxy Server setting.


All users click "OK" again. In some early versions of Windows, the Proxy Server setting will be in this area (about half way down the pop-up) and in later versions you will need to click "OK" once more to locate it. Remove the tick from "Access the Internet using a Proxy Server" (This area may also be titled simply "Use a Proxy Server"). This should again grey out the Proxy Server Addresses.

That completes the changes required for the Dial-Up settings.

4/ Amend the server information in your Email program.


(Please note that it may be possible that in the next day or so that you do receive some E-mail twice. This is due to the transfer of your mail between our old & new E-mail servers.)

Outlook Express Users: Start you E-mail program and click "Work Offline" if necessary. Click "Tools" in the top menu, then "Accounts" and then the "Mail" Tab. Ensure that the "mail.wimmera.com.au" account is highlighted (if not, simply single click it) and then click "Properties" to the right. Click on the "Servers" Tab and amend the server information as follows:

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) mail.ozisp.com.au
Incoming Mail (POP3) mail.ozisp.com.au

Please carefully check that you have the spelling & full stops correct, then click "Apply" and "OK" & then "Close". (You may need to go to "File" and click "Work Online" as well) then close the program.

Eudora Users: Start the program, click "Tools" on the top menu & then "Options". In the resultant pop-up, click "Hosts" on the left. Delete the information in the SMTP & POP3 boxes. Enter the following information:

POP Account Box: mail.ozisp.com.au
SMTP Box: mail.ozisp.com.au

Click "OK" at the bottom and close the program.
